K.L. Rahul Family


K.L. Rahul full name Kannur Lokesh Rahul. As of 2023, he is 31 years old. Born on 18 April 1992 in Magadi Taluk Kananur, Mangalore, Karnataka. K.N. Lokesh and Rajeshwari's house.
K.N. Lokesh, his father is a professor of civil engineering and former director of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK). His mother Rajeshwari was a professor at Mangalore University.
K.L. Rahul also has a younger sister named Bhavna. However, not much information is available about Bhavna's professional background.
K.L. Rahul married Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty on 23 January 2023. Athiya's father, K.L. Rahul's father-in-law, Sunil Shetty, is a popular name in the Indian film industry.

As K.L. Rahul grew up on NITK's campus, he completed his high school from NITK English Medium School and pre-university at St. Aloysius College. K.L. Rahul started cricket training at the age of 10. Trained under Samuel Jayaraj Muttu at Nehru Maidan.
Samuel Jayaraj Muttu said, "At the age of 10, Rahul started training at the Nehru Maidan for the Mangalore Sports Club. As a student, Rahul was disciplined, obedient and intelligent. He also excelled in academics."
Coach Samuel Jayraj Muttu is delighted that his student Rahul excelled in international cricket. At the age of 18 he moved to Bangalore to study at Sri Bhagavan Mahavir Jain College and completed his graduation in commerce. While pursuing graduate studies, he continued his cricket career.
He represented India at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2010 during his graduation. He is certainly making the country proud with his brilliant cricketing performances.

                           K.L. Rahul Domestic Performance 


 Started playing matches for both Bangalore United Cricket Club and his club in Mangalore in 2004 at the age of 12. In 2010, Rahul made his first-class cricket debut at the age of 19 for Karnataka.
 Rahul's persistence and hard work helped him make it to the U-19 team and later the Karnataka Ranji squad. The selectors picked him up for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup the same year. He scored 143 runs in the tournament. 2013–14 was a breakthrough season for Rahul, finishing the first-class season as the second-highest run-scorer. He scored 1033 runs in that season.
 In the 2013–15 Duleep Trophy final, Rahul scored 185 and 130 in both innings for the South region against the Central region. During the 2014-2015 season, Rahul scored 337 points in an end against Uttar Pradesh, marking his first-class triple century. He scored 188 in the Ranji Trophy final against Tamil Nadu. At the end of the season, he averaged 93.11 in 9 matches.
 His domestic performances during the season earned him a Test call-up to the national team for the tour of Australia in 2014.

K.L.Rahul's Test Career After some great performances in the domestic circuit, Rahul got a call-up to tour Australia. He made his international debut in the 2014 Boxing Day Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He received his Test cap from MS Dhoni. He scored only 3 runs in the first innings and 1 run in the second innings.Despite a poor run in the match, he was selected for the next match in Sydney where he scored his maiden Test century.
He was selected for the Bangladesh tour but dropped out due to dengue. After being fit, he returned to the side in a series against Sri Lanka in 2015 and scored his second Test century in the first match of the series. He also kept wicket in the same match.
He made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in 2016. On his debut, he scored his maiden T20I century. In 2016, on the tour of West Indies, he scored another century and became the first Indian opener to score a century on Test debut in the country. Then due to high competition for the opening slot in the Indian team and some average performances, he was in and out of the team.
In 2018, he scored his second T20I century against England. During the tour of New Zealand in 2020, Lokesh Rahul was declared Man of the Series in the T20I series. He scored 224 runs in 5 matches. Was selected in Test squad against Australia in 2020 but got injured during training. He missed the entire season due to injury.
In 2021, he was named vice-captain of India for the T20I. In December 2021, he was appointed vice-captain of India's test team for a series against South Africa. In the second event, he was captain of the national team for the first time, making him the 34th captain of India.
137 points in four tryouts in 2022, at just 50. Despite scoring 434 points in 16 T20 games with an average of 28.93, with a batting rate of 126.53.

He started her IPL career in 2013. In 2013, he was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore as a box-office beater. But after only one season in 2014, Sunrisers Hyderabad granted him 1 crores. But he was not able to impress a lot over the next two seasons. After two disappointing campaigns with them, he went back to RCB in 2016 and did well, scoring 397 points in 14 games.
He missed the next season due to injury. 2018 was an exciting year for the IPL career. It was acquired by Kings XI Punjab for 11 crores of rupees during the mega auction. He has scored half a century in just 14 balls in the first game of the season, which is still the record for the fastest 50 in the IPL. He scored 659 points last season.
In 2019, Rahul continued his streak and scored 593 runs in 14 matches. 
Ahead of the 2020 season, he was named the franchise captain. He ended the season by winning the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs in the season. He scored 670 runs in 14 matches.
He scored 626 runs in 14 matches in 2021.
 During the mega auction in 2022, newcomers Lucknow Super Giants drafted him for the team and selected him as the captain. He registered a massive 616 runs in the season as captain for LSG. Ahead of the 2022 mega auction, Rahul left the franchise. 
In the 2023 IPL auction, the Lucknow franchise acquired the services of KL Rahul for Rs 17.00 crores. He is the highest paid cricketer in the history of IPL.
Has played 118 matches so far in his IPL career and has scored 4163 runs at an average of 46.78. He also scored 4 centuries and 33 half-centuries, with his highest IPL score of 132* runs. KL Rahul hit 355 fours and 168 sixes in his IPL.
